Assembly Workstation
The workstation includes the SCORA-ER 14 robot system and palletizing racks for assembly operations. This assembly application package includes several components to enable automated part feeding and gluing operations. The package includes a ball feeder, a dual-axis positioning vise and an automatic glue dispenser adapted for use in an automated robotic work cell. The SCORA-ER 14 is a rugged, high precision horizontally articulated robot with a payload capacity of 2 kg (4.4 lb) at high speeds and 3kg (6.6 lb) at low speeds. Its four axes are driven by DC servo motors and harmonic drives. The feedback system uses incremental optical encoders with an index pulse and optical limit switches. Position repeatability is 0.05 mm (0.002″). Speed can be defined by travel time (mm/sec) or by 1% increments of maximum range.
